Alumni Association of Tampa Bay Awards Scholarships

The Phi Beta Kappa Alumni Association of Tampa Bay held its annual spring scholarship dinner on April 24 at Tampa’s University Club.

One $3,500 scholarship was awarded to Adela Lilollari, the valedictorian of her IB program headed to Yale.

The other $3,500 award went to Stefan Swaans, a national merit finalist headed to Stanford.

Professor Mark Davis of Eckerd College spoke on “Popular Hype and Scientific Reality: The Case for Emotional Intelligence.” 

The annual dinner meeting will be 6:00 pm, November 13 at St. Petersburg Yacht Club. Merl Reagle will be speaking on “The Very Unserious World of Crossword Puzzles—100 Years of Fun and Games.”
